Beginning Sunday, September 18th (in Room 210), 222 will have our own Equipping Hour class at BCLR. Pastor Jeff Crotts will be the primary teacher, and we will be working through Wayne Grudem's Bible Doctrine. This is a new, condensed version of his extremely popular Systematic Theology.
It is not mandatory that you buy this book to attend the new Equipping Hour class, but it is highly recommended!! It's a great volume to add to your library.

You can keep up with what chapter we'll be covering via our new calendar, and discussion questions will be supplied for use in any weekly small groups that are ocurring throughout the week. You may also leave your comments and questions here as you either read through this text or attend equipping hour.

good question & I hope I understand your concern. Any systematic theology is just that, a "systemized" way of studying theology (theology, of course, "the study of God"). Whereas we're not promoting or esteeming the "teachings of Wayne Grudem", we are using his study in theology to aid as an outline in teaching what the Scripture says as a whole about any particular subject (sin, Christ, Satan, the church, etc.) And where there are areas when we disagree with Grudem's interpretation (and there are several areas), we respectfully disagree, and then teach what we understand to be the Biblical position. In fact, this matter of "difference of interpretation" will be discussed in more detail on October 2, Lord willing, so I hope you'll come & participate.
So, we are studying the Bible. Wednesday nights are more expositional in nature (been teaching through 1 John all summer), and Sunday mornings will be more "topical" in nature, focusing on the many great docrinal truths found in God's Word.
