Marriage vs. Singleness?

In coordination with Pastor Jeff's short series on marriage, here are a couple of resources that he mentioned in Tuesday night's message:

The Al Mohler message from the Na conferenc in 2004 entitled "The Mystery of Marriage" available as an mp3 download for $2.00 here or a cd for $5.00 here.

Here's Part One and Part Two of Mohler's response to the feedback from his message.

And here is Piper's recent message entitled "Single in Christ: A Name Better Than Sons and Daughters". At this link you can read, listen or watch, for free.

**UPDATE (5/4/07): After hearing Piper's sermon, one listener asks, "If what you say about the blessing of singleness is true, then why would one even want to be married?” Here is Piper's response.

Also, for you single gals - it's not too late to call and reserve your spot for a Q&A session with Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Carolyn McCully, this coming Monday night, at 6:30pm at the FamilyLife building. Email Aaron for details.

Aaron, thanks for posting Piper's response to the question about why someone would want to get married if singleness is so good. It's one of the best explanations I've ever heard on how to determine God's will about marriage and really boils things down to the central issue - loving Christ and desiring to see Him glorified. Definitely thought provoking.
