Praying for VA Tech
Pastor Jeff mentioned Tuesday night an indirect connection that we have with other believers in Blacksburg - namely, J.R. Foster, the leader of the Reformed University Fellowship on the VA Tech campus and good friend of Pastor Tim Senn. (Those of you who came through the BCLR Youth Group might remember when J.R. spoke at a Fall Retreat in '99 or '00.)
Tim Challies has some helpful information to inform your prayers that he received personally from some of the pastors & leaders at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Blacksburg (J.R.'s church). Including this letter:
Statement from Pastor Chris Hutchinson, pastor of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, Blacksburg, VA, Tuesday, April 17th, 2007, 10:00 AM: 1) Our first priority is to try to find out whether any of the dead or wounded attended GCPC or our campus ministry, RUF, so that we may minister to them or their families. All media requests take a secondary place to that task. As of Tuesday morning, we do not know of anyone who attended GCPC who was killed or wounded. However, several worked in Norris Hall, and need prayer for the trauma they have undergone.

2.22 Week Links - Odd-Ee-Oh
This "2.22 Week Links" is in reponse to Amy Gerke's question/suggestion:
Well, with a lot of help from my friend Gary, I present you with the following list of audio resources. If you know of any that we've missed, leave a link in the comments section. Also, I'm posting this today so you can have some time over the weekend to check out the links. Therefore, there won't be a "2.22 Week Links" post next week. And, as always, use discernment with any of these links. BCLR or it's pastors does not necessarily endorse everything at the links below.
1. Reforming My Mind blog is a great starter for MP3 downloads.
2. Adrian Warnock has a great list as well in his sidebar. (Also if you click the del.icio.us link, that will take you to his del.icio.us page that has lots more--it is organized too!)
3. Steve McCoy has the list for Tim Keller (also he just did a "podcast he enjoys" post)
4. Download Mark Dever's sermons or listen to some riveting interviews with guys like Piper, Ware, etc... at IX marks.
5. All of Mark Driscolls sermons are available to download for free.
6. You can listen to any of Phil Johnson's sermon's from his Sunday School class at Grace Community Church.
7. Al Mohler offers his daily radio show , he also puts his Sunday morning Powerline series up for download. If you go to the home page you will see all of the aforementioned as .xml feeds.
8. You can listen to C.J. and the guys over at Covenant Life.
9. Here's a compliation of many of D.A. Carson's sermons.
10. Sermon Index is a one-stop source for the good, the bad, and the heretical - so use discretion here.
11. Dear to my heart and especially for the ladies, Revive Our Hearts offers archived auido of many past radio programs . Search by Keyword, Topic or Date.
12. Then there's One Place, where you can get most anybody's sermons. Go here to get John MacArthur's.
13. Monergism, a puritanical & reformed motherload of resources, has an audio page with around 700 different options.
14. Don't forget, you can hear almost every sermon preached at BCLR going years back! Click here to search by Date, Title, Reference or Speaker.
15. And click here for a pretty exhaustive list of podcast links (if you don't know what a podcast is, maybe you should unplug your Walkman and take a stroll through Best Buy).
I know you've been putting links to articles on the blog. Do you keep up with audio, like sermons, too? I'm at the computer all day, so I can listen to sermons, but can't really be reading and browsing the internet. I was wondering, if you knew of some, could/would you possibly put those links on the blog too?Great idea, Amy!

2.22 Week Links...
...but not WEAK links.
Because of RJ's crass but true comment Tuesday night about the blog needing updating, I'm going to attempt (I really am) to begin a new weekly feature, where I'll pass along helpful links from other blogs that I read during the week.
These will vary in topic - as you see below - to hopefully edify or humor you (or maybe both). If you find a good blog read during the week, send me a link and I may feature it on "2.22 Week Links".
So here you go...

~Justin Taylor has finished posting a 15 part Q & A with David Powlison on "The Lust of the Flesh". All 15 are here - but you'll have to start from the bottom and work your way up.
~Did you know that Desiring God has a new blog?
~In light of all the talk about/against the Emergent Church, perhaps you're asking, "What should the church do in order to reach people in a postmodern culture?". Well, Phil Johnson is glad you asked.
~Finally... having trouble reading the Puritans? Maybe this will help.
