Prayer Requests

As mentioned in a recent 222 meeting, we want to create an opportunity for us to share prayer requests and answered prayers with one another. Since many of the young men in our group are beginning the study in Wayne Mack's "Reaching the Ear of God", this seems like a great time to make this communication available via the 222 blog (hopefully you've been praying for one another already!).

Here's a few guidelines for using this blog as a "prayer list":

  1. Click on "Comments" or "Post a Comment" at the bottom of this blog entry.
  2. Enter your prayer request or answer to prayer. Give as much or less detail as you feel appropriate (remember, this is the WORLD WIDE web), and leave your name. (If you're request is too personal or awkward to leave your name, you might not want to post it on the blog)
  3. A "quick link" to this "Prayer Requests" blog entry will be posted in the right hand sidebar of the page, under "About This Site".

In addition to Dr. Mack's book, here are a few others that might encourage you in your prayer/devotional life:

A Call To Prayer - J.C. Ryle

A Call To Spiritual Reformation - D.A. Carson

Life As a Vapor: 31 Meditations for Your Faith - John Piper

Lord, Teach Me To Pray - John MacArthur

The Valley of Vision - collection of Puritan prayers

A Place of Quiet Rest - Nancy Leigh DeMoss

And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth.

James 5:15-17

The Valley of Vision is a wonderful, wonderful book, y'all.

Aaron (you run this thing, right?), is there any way to do a link to the email LaJuana sent me about IFO conversation club to encourage our people to go?

Also, if I may suggest some links for the sidebar? (And this is the para-PCA Covenant Colleger in me)www.goodtheology.com & http://www.igracemusic.com/hymnbook/

Thanks.

Thanks Laura!
I'll get the links in the sidebar soon. I've used the RUF hymnbook several times - good stuff!
Also, send me LaJuana's email, and I'll either link to it or post it in it's entirety.
Just send it to aaron.iamchief@sbcglobal.com

Thanks again!
Aaron

Please pray that Rex would hear clearly from God what he is to do and that he would have the courage to do it. Thankyou.
